World Bank Listing of Ineligible Firms and Individuals

The World Bank's public list of firms and individuals debarred for fraud and corruption — a quick third-party screening check.

Our summary

The World Bank publishes a searchable list of firms and individuals that are not allowed to take part in Bank-financed contracts, usually because they were found to have engaged in fraud, corruption, collusion or coercion. The list shows the name, country, the period of ineligibility and the grounds.

Under the cross-debarment agreement between the major multilateral development banks, many debarments by one bank are also applied by the others.

How auditors use it: Add it to vendor onboarding and periodic third-party screening, especially for contractors and consultants in development, infrastructure and public-sector projects. A match is a strong red flag that needs follow-up before any contract is signed.
